EMERGING TRAINEE
From School to Work
With an aging workforce, advances in Crane Technology and less youth joining our ranks it's no surprise that Companies all over New Zealand are struggling to source competent, experienced and qualified individuals.
With that in mind, and our commitment to giving back to the industry we have developed a new holistic Apprenticeship Pathway that seamlessly blends Industry Experience with the criteria outlined by NZQA. Thus creating a unique pathway that develops new recruits into the Industry faster and more knowledgeable than ever before.

Together with Industry we will be able to create more trained, competent and safer Operators which will future proof our industry for years to come. Our founders Jason and Anna have spent the past two years developing various initiatives to promote the Industry and make it easier for people to gain the skills and experience they need to start their career within the Crane Industry.
They have developed a seamless pathway for youth to get into the Crane Industry straight from College. Working within the current guidelines we have developed and tested the following three programmes that are run regularly in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch:
TASTER
This 1 day initiative enables students to get a taste for the Crane Industry and how we work with the Construction Industry.
GATEWAY
This initiative enables students who have attended the Taster to gain the practical skills and real world experience they will need to enter in Crane Industry as a Trainee Dogman.
APPRENTICESHIP
Once the students have completed their Gateway they will enter into a two year apprenticeship with Lift Up who will support, train and guide them and their employer through the programme.
